Sep 15, 2025
Enjoying your September Roaster's Choice so much you picked up an extra bag? We've created two brew guides to help you get the best flavour at home!
First up is V60 - you'll need 15.5g ground coffee (medium-fine grind) and the best quality water available, preferably filtered.
Top tips:
Aim for 3 minute total brew time with 250g water.
Use water about a minute after boiling. If it's a temp control kettle aim for 96c.
A Gooseneck kettle is preferred for pouring.
Recipe
1. Preheat and rinse the brewer and filter with hot water.
2. Add your ground coffee into the middle of the brewer, making a small well in the middle of the grinds with your finger
3. Reset/tare your scales.
4. Start a timer. Begin by pouring 50g of water in concentric circles for 10 seconds, using swirling motions to keep the spout close to the surface and aiming for about 5g/sec pour rate.
5. At 0:10, gently swirl the brewer to cover all ground coffee in water and let it bloom.
6. 0:45 - Pour to 100g
7. 1:10 - Pour to 150g
8. 1:30 - Pour to 200g
9. 1:50 - Pour to 250g total
10. 2:00 - gently swirl to make sure all coffee is covered and wait for water to finish dripping
11. 3:00 - aim to finish brewing at this time.
12. Enjoy!
