OG Goldstone 20th Anniversary Blend

In 2006, two 20-year-olds started roasting coffee in a small Hove space, at a time when most of Britain was still drinking instant and "specialty coffee" wasn't yet a phrase anyone used. The first blend they made was Goldstone; named after Goldstone Villas, the address of that original roastery. It set the tone for everything that followed: a fruit-and-nut, chocolate-bar balance that became the Small Batch signature, traditional espresso with a modern twist.

Goldstone has evolved many times over twenty years, always chasing that same balance. So to celebrate our 20th birthday, we wanted to go back to the very beginning. We reunited with co-founder Al, who sat down with our current roasting team. Together they've rebuilt the original 2006 recipe as faithfully as they could, cross-referencing archive notes with modern sourcing to get it just right.

The result is OG Goldstone: a limited-edition release of the blend as it originally tasted, made with three exceptional, fully washed coffees.

Cupping Notes

Rich dark chocolate leads, followed by ruby plum and stone-fruit sweetness, with a floral, vanilla finish. Full-bodied and silky, it drinks beautifully black and stands up to milk.
