Coffee Details

Since 1976 coffee production has been the main activity for Tereza Cristina Herval’s family. The mother of Ana and Helena, Tereza practiced Veterinary Medicine for 19 years, before returning to Carmo do Paranaíba in 2017 to work in the family business.

Since 2017 onward, Tereza has been in charge of the farm's management, driving investments and improvements focused on best practices, environmental preservation, and sustainability. The farm is irrigated, features a solar power plant, uses organic fertilization, maintains constant soil coverage, and holds both the Cerrado Mineiro Designation of Origin and Rainforest Alliance certifications. The entire process, from harvesting to processing, is carried out on the property, with storage at Carpec Coffee.

Since 2020, the farm has stood out in the production of specialty coffees, with 85% of the beans scoring above 82 points and some microlots exceeding 87 points. Tereza Cristina's mission is to produce high-quality specialty coffee sustainably and share the business's success with her employees.

Cupping Notes

An initial burst of white grape, with a dark rum booziness and a buttery mouthfeel followed by a berry sweetness as it cools.
