Chocolarder Ponta Figo Dark Chocolate

Chocolarder Ponta Figo Dark Chocolate

Tasting notes: tropical fruit salad, mango, papaya

A beautifully expressive dark chocolate that captures the bright, tropical character of its origin. Crafted in Cornwall by Chocolarder, this 70% bar is made using single origin cocoa from Ponta Figo in São Tomé, often called the chocolate island, along with unrefined sugar to let the natural flavour of the beans shine.

Expect a clean, smooth melt with vibrant notes of mango, papaya, and ripe fruit, balanced by gentle acidity and a soft, lingering finish. It is a dark chocolate that feels lively rather than heavy, complex yet highly approachable.

Every bar is made from raw cocoa beans, roasted, stone ground, and conched in small batches before being aged to develop flavour

Lean into the fruity notes of this delicious dark chocolate with our bright, sweet Papua New Guinea coffee. The mango and papaya blends with PNG's caramel notes and citrus to create a delightful sunny season pairing.

Coffee Details

Chocolarder’s Ponta Figo 70% Dark Chocolate is a vibrant, fruit-forward bar that showcases the unique character of São Tomé’s cacao. Made bean-to-bar in Cornwall, it uses single origin cocoa from the Ponta Figo cooperative, where cacao is grown in rich volcanic soil and carefully fermented to develop its bright, complex flavour. The result is a smooth dark chocolate with notes of mango, papaya, and citrus, balanced by a gentle acidity and a clean finish.

Founded in Cornwall, Chocolarder shares our values of transparency, craft, and ethical sourcing. Their chocolate is made with the same attention to detail as specialty coffee, using slow roasting, stone grinding, and small batch production to highlight the true expression of the cacao, without unnecessary additives.
